About Jonesboro Junior Highs

Jonesboro Public schools have two junior highs: Annie Camp Junior High and Douglas MacArthur Junior High.

JPS decides what junior high your child will go to depending on where you live in Jonesboro. If you have questions, please call JPS Central Office at 870.933.5800.

Both junior highs offer the same extracurricular activities and curriculum. The only difference is that Annie Camp mascot is the Whirlwinds and the MacArthur mascot is the Cyclones, they combine in high school to become The Golden Hurricane! The rivalry games between the two are something to see, so don't miss the opportunity to watch "The Storm Bowl" in action! We have a storm bowl trophy that is passed back and forth each year and seniors at JHS will still be able to tell you who won the trophy their 9th grade year! Welcome to Jonesboro Public Schools!
